Lectotype (designated by Cocquyt, C., Taylor, J.C. & Kusber, W.-H. 2017: 381): Zimbabwe, Eastlands, Umtali District, Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Stream bank fully exposed to sunlight, source of mountain ravine on a fern hill on border of Eastlands, 10 Aug 1952, N.C. Chase (UNWH: NWU 07–172)
